@iamsrk RT AbRam is my best production, says proud father Shah Rukh Khan

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan feels that its unfair to subject new-born AbRam to his life, which is constantly under media glare and wants his son to remain untouched by this job hazard.

Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan's baby boy, through surrogacy was reportedly born on May 27 at 34 weeks of pregnancy. After spending almost seven weeks in the hospital, he is back home now. The couple already has two children. Aryan and Suhana.

"I am very happy that I am blessed by such a beautiful child. AbRam is my best production. I would not like to talk a lot about him because a lot of people have already spoken a lot of things before he deserved to or before my family or I could say anything. I think it was unfair for people to know half-truth and talk about it but I don't hold it against anyone," Shah Rukh told PTI.

"It is depressing and sad that someone who has just entered this world is subjected to my life. I would like him to be untouched by the world as much as possible," he said.

While talking about his son, SRK seemed a bit emotional. The 47-year-old actor did not wish to talk about his health.

Also, there were media reports that a pre-natal sex determination test had been conducted, following which the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had sent a team to SRK's residence to ascertain the facts. The team, however, was turned away and SRK has rubbished all these speculations.

This Eid King Khan has two reasons to cheer his new born son andChennai Express, which releases on August 9.

"This Eid is really going to be very special because I have a new member in my family... everything else is secondary. I am going to celebrate it with my family and close friends," Shah Rukh said.

With Chennai Express, silver screen is ready for big releases

Chennai Express

In Bollywood, they say 'While a man is known by the company he keeps, a film is known by the number of crores it makes'! With a super impressive lineup of biggies in the forthcoming weeks, beginning with Chennai Express, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara, Madras Cafe and Satyagraha, the silver screen is all set to adorn a golden glow. Previous records will be shattered. New records will be set...

Have a look at the plethora of film releases lined up in the coming weeks. There's no breathing space till December. Entertainment has always been the catchword and will remain the catchword in times to come and those that entertain will have long legs at the Box Office. The biggies are lined up for Eid, Diwali and Christmas and also during national holidays and festivals. In other weeks too, 2/3 prominent films will be jostling with one another for audience attention.

With such an impressive lineup of Hindi films in the coming weeks, 2013 might just end up as the most lucrative year ever. So far, only three films have touched the magical 100 crore mark. But the season of 100 crore + movies is about to kickstart now. 2013 could well be the year with maximum 100 crore grossers... Fingers crossed!

New markets for Shah Rukh Khan

The fact that Shah Rukh Khan has fans in every corner of the world is not news. But now the actor will reach them all on the same day as his next film Chennai Express will release in India, on August 9. For the first time, along with non-traditional markets such as Morocco, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France and Israel, the Rohit Shetty film will release on the same day in Peru.

"In the past, My Name Is Khan (2010) and Guzaarish (2010) had delayed releases in Peru," says an insider from the production. Confirming this development Amrita Pandey says on behalf of the film's production house,"Chennai Express is a mass entertainer and a big movie for us. Shah Rukh Khan has a strong fan base and the demand for the movie is enormous overseas. We are releasing the movie in more than seven non-traditional markets."

SRK wants to cast Monica Bellucci, Gerard Butler

As Shahrukh Khan gears up for Rohit Shetty's much hyped film Chennai Express along with fellow actor Deepika Padukone, the Badshah ofBollywood would love to work with his counterparts in Hollywood.

SRK is a fan of Monica Bellucci and when asked about who he'd like to work with from Hollywood, her name was the first to pop up on the actor's lips. Shahrukh is known to be a Monica fan. That apart, SRK would also love to work with Hollywood's heart throb Gerad Butler who is a friend of Shahrukh's.

As ambitious as he is, King Khan would love to turn books like Life of Pi and Shantaram into films but the actor feels it requires a lot of money to make them, something which he finds unaffordable.

According to media reports, SRK is also open to Hollywood projects provided he gets the same respect he has gotten from Indian cinema.

After Bollywood, Hollywood can't be too far away for SRK!

Shah Rukh Khan: My son AbRam doesn't resemble anyone right now

Shah Rukh

Shah Rukh Khan gets candid on that state of mind, biting the Hollywood bait and more

A digital game launch for Chennai Express, a visit to the sets ofTaarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma, Comedy Nights with Kapil andIndian Idol among a score of other activities, the blitzkreig aroundChennai Express is archetypal Shah Rukh Khan.

The film, a breezy romance with oodles of action, flying cars included — it's a Rohit Shetty film after all — is taking up a good amount of his time. The pairing up with director Rohit Shetty well known for his laughter riots is a first of sorts. Shetty had initially planned upon a remake of Angoor, but ended up narrating a love story complete with side-effects to the superstar and the next thing he knew, he had Shah Rukh Khan on board for a megabudget production. Chennai Expressalso brings Khan together with Deepika Padukone, who he launched in Om Shanti Om, an earlier home production. Given her remarkable progression ever since and their crackling on-screen chemistry, there is much excitement on this jodi as the one to watch out for.

On the personal front, there's been a happy development with arrival of son AbRam and something of a rapprochement with buddy turned foe Salman Khan at Mumbai MLA Baba Siddique's iftaar party. His business ventures are beginning to reap dividends and new ones like Kidzania are on the brink of take-off, so it would be fair to say that things are looking good. However Khan, busy as ever, is clocking in impossible hours devoted to the cause of film promotion It is in Film City, on the sets of Kapil Sharma show that one is supposed to meet him.

His arrival on the sets is delayed due to various reasons, but once there the show rolls seamlessly with the audience delighted at the prospect of seeing Khan in person, patiently answering their questions and asking a few of his own. The high point of the show is when a young fan in the audience, who has rechristened himself Rahul, as a homage of sorts to various Rahuls played by Khan, is moved to tears while hugging him. There are several others — all equally enamoured of Khan in their own way. Off the sets too, there is a mini rebellion brewing -photographers waiting for their turn at clicking the stars are turning belligerent while a privileged few, known to TV actor Ali Asgar are queuing up for a photo-op. Accompanying him is director Rohit Shetty who after a short appearance on the show is in a discussion with him. Fortunately, the uncertainty draws to an end and I am allowed to conduct the interview with the superstar in the drive between Film City to Taj Land's End. Between the two destinations, we cover some distance in the interview primarily about movies and then some. Excerpts:
