Shah Rukh Khan likes to live king size and makes film on bigger canvas every year. But he has other pursuits as well which are equally extravagant. The King Khan recently bought two original posters of Mughal-E-Azam for Rs. 6.84 lakh.
Like every years, Osian's conducted this auction of rare Bollywood memorabilia that fetched the auction company nearly Rs. 55.6 lakh. Apart from the Mughal-E-Azam posters, the Pyaar Hua Iqrar Hua moment captured in a painting by Arpana Caur with Raj Kapoor and Nargis housed under an umbrella went for 7.5 lakh, highest in the lot. The Dilip Kumar-Meena Kumari embrace standee of Yahudi went for Rs. 4.8 lakh.
The patrons were more interested in laying their hands on items focusing on legends like Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar and Dev Anand apart from Nargis, Meena Kumari and Madhubala. It almost created a frenzy at the auction. The Ganga Jamuna artwork signed and inscribed by Dilip Kumar sold for 2.16 lakh and a six-sheeter poster of Mother India fetched 2.52 lakh.
