The red carpet rolled out for the 14th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards and Bollywood celebrities flew down to Macau from Mumbai to participate in the festivities.

Even though the opening ceremony missed this year's big host Shah Rukh Khan, his co-host Shahid Kapoor made sure the opening ceremony did not lose its lustre, as both Shahid and actor Abhishek Bachchan happily cemented their status as A-listers.

A lot of the big names, including Amitabh Bachchan, might be missing from the ceremony, but IIFA this year is about the young guns of Bollywood, who are ready to take charge. Not only this they are literally in the mood to make fans dance to their tunes, as actors Parineeti Chopra, Ayushmann Khurrana and Arjun Kapoor are all set to perform on stage this year.

The other big act is actress Sridevi's first ever live performance with choreographer-turned-director Prabhu Deva.

That's not all. In another first, Madhuri Dixit maker her IIFA debut this year, as the actress has never been to the event before.

Day 1 (July 4, 2013) of the gala was all about the youngsters.

Day 2 (July 5, 2013) finally saw a grand entrance by King Khan, who is sporting a sling after a recent injury.

The actor, who arrived amidst cheers from fans, will also be promoting his next film Chennai Expresshere with Deepika Padukone, who arrived in Macau on the same flight as him.

The second day also saw another film promotion as Shah Rukh's Dil Toh Pagal Hai co-star Madhuri Dixit was more than happy to sing praises of her next film Gulab Gang at a special press conference here.
